Who runs this

Ghani Consulting, and why that matters

Dubai Tech Experience is run by Ghani Events, part of Ghani Consulting — a public relations and business development firm working between North America, Europe and the MENA region.

That matters more than it sounds. A delegation is only as good as the doors it can open, and those doors are opened by people who were already in the region doing the work: locating investment opportunities, arranging meetings with government and decision-makers, handling company formations and regulatory guidance, and advising companies setting up in the Gulf for the first time.

The delegation grew out of that practice rather than the other way round. When a founder lands in Dubai in December, the introductions waiting for them come from relationships built over a decade of that work — not from a list bought for the occasion.

How the week gets made

Most of the work happens before you land

The five days in Dubai are the visible part. The value is built in the months before them, and the weeks after.

Before

Matching, not inviting

Every application is read against what that company or fund actually wants out of the week. The research side maps who is active in your sector — which investors are deploying, which corporates are buying, which government bodies have a mandate that touches what you do. Meetings are then arranged and confirmed on both sides, so the schedule that reaches you is real rather than aspirational.

During

People on the ground

A Dubai-based assistant and a Ghani representative travel with the delegation. They handle the schedule as it moves, make the introductions that were not on it, and deal with the logistics — transport, badges, stand issues, the meeting that ran long — so delegates spend the week in conversations rather than in admin.

After

The follow-up nobody does

Most of what a trip like this is worth is decided in the fortnight afterwards. The team stays on the introductions that showed promise, keeps the alumni network connected, and carries relationships forward into the next edition rather than starting again.

Our people

Dubai Tech Experience Team

Eight people run the delegation — the relationships, the commercial side, the research behind every introduction, and the logistics that decide whether the week feels organised or improvised. What follows describes what each role does on the programme.

  • Portrait of Mohammad Ghani

    Mohammad Ghani

    Founder

Leads the firm and the relationships the delegation runs on — the government offices, family offices and sovereign-linked funds that decide whether a visiting founder gets a real meeting or a polite one.

  • Portrait of Mohammad Sabri

    Mohammad Sabri

    Founder

Works on the commercial side of the programme: which companies belong in which track, how the packages are structured, and what a delegate is actually buying.

  • Portrait of Verónica Goldweber

    Verónica Goldweber

    Founder

Focuses on the investor side of the room — who is raising, who is deploying, and making sure the two sets of people are matched before anyone books a flight.

  • Portrait of Christopher Fox

    Christopher Fox

    Founder

Covers the U.S. end of the bridge: the founders, accelerators and economic-development bodies who send companies, and what they need to see to justify the trip.

  • Portrait of Ana García

    Ana García

    Lead Project Manager

Runs the week itself. Stand builds, badges, transport, the meeting schedule and the dozens of small things that decide whether five days in Dubai feel organised or improvised.

  • Portrait of Elizabeth

    Elizabeth

    EA & Leads Manager

First point of contact for most applicants, and the person tracking every enquiry from first form through to the call — the reason applications do not go quiet.

  • Portrait of Rafael Reyes

    Rafael Reyes

    Research Coordinator

Researches the match: which investors are active in a sector, which corporates are buying, and which introductions are worth a delegate’s limited time on the floor.

  • Portrait of Daniel Flores

    Daniel Flores

    Marketing Intern

Supports the campaigns and content that bring the cohort together, and documents the week so the companies that attend have something to show afterwards.

Beyond the eight of us

The rest of the bench

The delegation team is small on purpose. Behind it sits the wider Ghani Consulting practice — consultants, analysts, attorneys, investment bankers, marketing specialists, business mentors and industry experts — brought in per engagement rather than carried permanently.

That structure is why a founder on the Startup track and a fund on the Investor track get genuinely different handling from the same organisation. A company weighing a Dubai entity needs regulatory and formation advice; an investor assessing a cross-border co-investment needs something else entirely. Neither is well served by a generalist events team, and both are routine work for a firm that has been doing this in the region for over a decade.

It is also why the delegation stays deliberately small. Curating meetings for a hundred companies is a research problem before it is a logistics one, and the quality of the week depends on how well that research was done — which does not scale by adding more delegates.
